Thane woman sets 61-year-old husband on fire during fight, booked for attempt to murder

The woman tried to kill husband by getting him on fire over a fight in Kalyan city of Thane. No arrests have been in the case so far.

Thane: In a disturbing incident in Kalyan city, an FIR has been filed against a woman for allegedly attempting to murder her 61-year-old husband by setting him on fire during a heated domestic dispute. According to police reports on Saturday, the woman is accused of enlisting the help of two male accomplices, identified as friends of one of the couple's daughters.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The injured husband, whose statement was recorded in a hospital, disclosed that his wife frequently argued with him about his monthly pension and objected to the regular visits of the two youths to their residence. The victim had previously lodged a complaint with the police, expressing concerns about his safety due to threats from these individuals.

The harrowing incident occurred on the night of December 8, as recounted in the FIR statement provided by an official. Two youths allegedly attacked the victim, dousing him with an inflammable liquid while his wife ignited the fire. The victim, in a critical condition, was promptly rushed to the hospital by concerned neighbors.

The case sheds light on the complexities of domestic conflicts and the potential consequences when such disputes escalate to violent extremes. Authorities are actively investigating the matter, aiming to apprehend the accused parties and bring justice to the victim. Further investigation is underway.
